Healthy Avocado Tuna Salad

No mayo needed here! The avocado will add plenty of creaminess in this recipe. This healthy tuna salad comes together quickly and is very refreshing on a warm day.

  • 1 can tuna
  • 1 small ripe avocado
  • ¼ cup cucumber diced
  • 2 tbsp red onion diced
  • 2 tbsp cilantro chopped
  • 1 green onion chopped
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • fresh lime juice ½ lime
  • salt & pepper to taste


  • In a medium bowl, flake the drained tuna with a fork. Add the avocado to the tuna and mash with a fork, breaking up any large chunks.
  • Add cucumber, red onion, cilantro, green onion, and garlic salt. Stir together and add the lime juice. Stir again to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Chill in the fridge for 15 - 20 minutes.
  • Once ready to serve, toast a couple pieces of bread, add some greens and top with the salad. I enjoy serving as an open face sandwich.
