Gluten-Free Chocolate Mug Cake
No fancy presentation is needed for a delicious mug cake. This mug cake is basically a gooey brownie in a mug! Mug cakes are a quick and easy treat, especially when you have no desire to bake an entire cake. Here’s what you’ll need:

Gluten-Free Chocolate Mug Cake
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp dairy-free butter
- 2 tbsp water
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup gluten-free flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a mivrowave-safe mug.
- Add water, vanilla and salt and stir until smooth.
- Add sugar, cocoa powder and flour and stir until all the lumps are out.
- Cook in the microwave for 30 – 40 seconds. If you want less of a lava cake texture and more cake, you can cook it for 10 seconds more. You'll have to adjust the cooking time since all microwaves cook differently.
- Top with some Cocowhip!
Notes
Sometimes I’ll top the mug cake with a few dairy-free chocolate chips before putting in the microwave.
