A gluten-free and dairy-free healthy avocado tuna sandwich. No mayo is needed over here! The avocado will add enough creaminess, trust me. To serve mine I toasted a couple of pieces of Bread SRSLY classic sourdough for an open-faced sandwich. It’s definitely a refreshing sandwich on a warm day! Don’t forget the fresh lime juice, it really makes the sandwich come together.

This healthy avocado tuna salad is so easy to throw together for a quick lunch. Even if you don’t have all of the ingredients, you can make something delicious. Sometimes I don’t have fresh cilantro, so I’ll leave that it and it’s great really great.

Spoon some of the mixtures on top of an extra thick slice of sourdough and lunch is served. Use my code BRUNETTE5 for $5 off your first Bread SRSLY order.

Healthy Avocado Tuna Salad
Ingredients
- 1 can tuna
- 1 small ripe avocado
- ¼ cup cucumber diced
- 2 tbsp red onion diced
- 2 tbsp cilantro chopped
- 1 green onion chopped
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- fresh lime juice ½ lime
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, flake the drained tuna with a fork. Add the avocado to the tuna and mash with a fork, breaking up any large chunks.
- Add cucumber, red onion, cilantro, green onion, and garlic salt. Stir together and add the lime juice. Stir again to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Chill in the fridge for 15 – 20 minutes.
- Once ready to serve, toast a couple pieces of bread, add some greens and top with the salad. I enjoy serving as an open face sandwich.
